We tried similar shades from a big-box store and they only went down about 5 . These were significantly more expensive, but they work as intended - you get what you pay for. They were super easy to install- even easier than the cheap ones from the other stores- and fit perfectly. Additionally, these have magnets to hold the upper part of the blinds ni place as they're lowered.

I wish I wouldn't have sent in the true measurements of my window. Their 1/4 inch deduction is really a 1/2 inch on either side. This let's way too much light in for my liking. The color is nice even though I wanted something a little more jewel toned. I wish the handle was a single in the center to allow for one hand operation like the others I have from Bali. This one has 2 handles which makes the shade lopsided often when opened. Overall, not bad for something besides white or gray which are basically your only options in most cases. Arrived quickly.
